In June 1999, two friends and shop owners from the nearby town of Barvaux, Jacques Leboutte and Josy Heck, met over an Irish coffee and had an idea: to combine their friendship with their passion for hospitality and gastronomy. This is how they took over La Calèche, an iconic establishment located just opposite the carriage that once took visitors on a tour of the town.

From the very beginning, they breathed new life into the place, undertaking extensive renovations and transforming the former reception hall into 13 welcoming guest rooms.

Since then, La Calèche has become much more than a hotel and restaurant: a true place of hospitality where visitors and food lovers alike feel right at home.
